Re: Claim # 80205
To Whom It May Concern:
Yesterday evening, Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at approximately 7:45pm/8:00pm we handed over our car, a white Nissan Altima (valet check # 037423) to the California Parking Systems valet people at Joseph’s CafĂ©, located at 1775 North Ivar Avenue, Hollywood, CA 90028.
When we picked up the car, at approximately 11:00pm, and upon driving away we found that a blue cell phone (a Sanyo 2300), which we had placed under the passenger seat, was missing. We immediately returned to the valet to ask if a cell phone had been “handed in” (nothing had) and then filled out the appropriate claim form.
I work in the Special Events department at Spago Beverly Hills and deal with the people of Valet Parking Services all the time, so to have this happen is very saddening and disturbing. I will now be without a phone for several days until I purchase and reactivate a new one. All my numbers are lost, and the whole matter is a great and costly inconvenience!
Please let me know how we proceed with this matter. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Matt Harrington

It is a shame that these things happen to anyone and I hope you hear back from them. I'll trust to never leave anything valuable in my car if ever I have to valet.
I once had a valet swipe my garage door opener remote.
I never understood that one - the glove compartment was locked, so it wasn't like he could find my address or anything.
This could be a proposed plot for CSI: LA -- "Revenge Of The Stolen Phone."
A guy from the valet company DID contact me BUT... we'll see if anything comes of it. He said both the valet and their insurance would investigate. Yeah, right!
Get George Eads on the case!!
You are worried that your phone was lost at the valet parking?!!?? Try leaving your brand new Mercedes at the valet parking and handing the keys to the car to the valet attendant...only to return an hour later and be told that the valet parking LOST YOUR KEY!!!!!!!!!!! This is no ordinary key. To replace it cost $245.00 and to reset your spare key with a new computer code is another $165.00. Yet the valet stub says the parking garage will reimburse you only a maximum of $250.00. Ohh yeahhh! Wait until I take them to court.
Hello:
Just a notice that the Valet at the Falcon Restaurant and Bar on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood smashed my car and denied it. I provided photo documentation and went to the top of the Valet chain of command, not to mention informed The Falcon Restaurant managment and nobody has done a thing.
Don't use the Valet if you go there. They are run by a company called Maarco + Associates.
FYI
Please keep the following in mind when using a valet parking service:
1. Check your vehicle for dents and dings just before and just after using valet. If necessary, make a claim BEFORE leaving the location, otherwise it will usually get denied...
2. Try to remember that a valet service is only responsible for your vehicle, not the contents of your vehicle. Take valuables w/ you or lock them in your trunk!!!
On April 14, 2008 at approximately 12:30am I arrived along with 3 other passengers to club “IVAR” on the corner of Hollywood Blvd and Ivar st. in Hollywood CA. I used the Valet parking as there is no other parking available for that location. Before giving the keys to the Valet attendant. I made sure that I had put away any items that were visible to the eye and placed them in the center counsel of my vehicle. I gave the keys to the Valet attendant and went about our day. At about 1:45 to 2am we were in line to pick up our vehicle. Valet attendant gave me my vehicle and I drove about 10 feet, still in the premises of Club Ivar when my husband noticed that my IPod Nano was missing. In that moment we parked the vehicle directly in front of club Ivar and asked to speak to the Valet Supervisor. Mario as he called himself was extremely rude and did not care of what had just happened. Mario did not want to assist us and asked us to leave him alone. When I advised him that I would call the police, he then walk away and returned with a claim form and shoved it in my face and said to fill it out and mail it and then walked away. Mario also advised us that there were about 30 parking attendants and had no time to question them. When I spoke to a parking attendant that parked my vehicle he advised that there were 15 parking attendants working. We then asked a club supervisor and he advised that there are only 6 parking attendant working. As you see these people did not want to help and only gave us the run a round. This Mario person was very unprofessional and did not want to fill out his part of the claim form. He advised for me to fill out and send only. This is why you see their part of the claim form empty with no information. They also did not want to provide me with any information as well. I then proceeded to wait for a police officer to arrive. About one hour past and no one came, so I decided to go the police station witch was only two blocks away and file a police report. I was not able to retrieve my Ipod that day.
The item stolen was in the center counsel hidden under some items. When you open the center counsel you are not able to see this item. The parking attendant had to physically look through everything that is in the center counsel to find it and take it. No other items were taken.
good luck with that. i had stuff stolen out of my car in san francisco when the valet forgot to lock my car. claim was dk'd, guy on the phone was a PITA.
I had pulled out of my parking space at the airport, put in gear to drive forward then one of their drivers (with customers truck) wasnt paying attention and backed right into my drivers side mirror. I wrote the company for a claim and you know what they said? I quote....."negligence on the part of both parties and each driver is responisible for their own respective repairs. We must deny your claim"
Anyone have this company's physical address? I am taking this to small claims court!
I have been trying for 7 months to resolve my claim with Maarco and Associates. The Valet company admitted that they damaged my car, but they're saying M&A will not pay the claim. These guys are the worst scumbags I have ever dealt with. Very rude and shady. They will not give a contact info or phone number. I got a rude, quick letter from Steve (Steve WHO?) and now just got my small claim court to approve my case and have a court date to sue them. Have witnesses and pics. Never heard a valet comp[any admit their fault and wanting to pay, but being denied by their insurance.
Also, if you check with Secretary of State for info on this business, it says : Status SUSPENDED. These guys should be reported to Fair Labor !!
